"Morning Glow" © Fawn McNeill 2015 I'm getting this older piece ready for a new show. Putting a new dust cover on the back, and touching up the frame. Reluctant to sell it, though, because it is from my front driveway. As the sun came up, it backlit these the flowers and made the driveway sparkle. I love the impressionistic feel, and yet the realism and detail could not be denied. I often bounce back and forth between thicker brush strokes and more detail. I love both styles and am most satisfied when I can achieve both. I call it 'realistic impressionism'. Not sure if that is such a thing. Enjoy! ~ Original Art ~ Acrylic on hardbaord ~ 14 x 18 inches (plus frame) ~ Custom frame with sculpted lip (see below) ~ $2,000.00 (includes shipping in the US) ~ Email me for availability: [email protected] Click here to see more Click on an image to see a related post:
"Hidden Beauty" © Fawn McNeill 2019 I did this a while ago. It was a perfect morning for a paintout! I usually work with acrylics, but that day I did a few watercolor studies. Went back and added the little gator when I got home (see below). I was never sure if it was finished, so today I touched up the dark palms and then matted it! (Already have someone interested in it!) ~ Original Art ~ Watercolor on acid-free watercolor paper ~ 7 x 10 inches ~ Matted to 11 x 14 inches for easy framing ~ Not available Click here to see more "Walk by Faith" I purchased this at a fund raiser for a woman's ministry. I liked the shape and words carved into it. The cross resembles an angel, which I thought was too cool. I love using wood as a back drop for sand, and I love sunlight reflecting off the water, so I knew right away when I saw this piece exactly what I wanted to paint on it. Just finished it yesterday! ~ Exclusive Handcrafted ~ One-of-a-Kind ~ Original Acrylic on Wood ~ 8 x 17 inches ~ $250.00 (includes shipping in the US) CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE Click here to see more original art Click on an image to see a related post:

Perfect to brighten any room! ~ Original Art ~ Mixed Media ~ 9 x 12 inches ~ Elaborate custom gold frame ~ Not available Click here to see more "Vast Healing" © 2018 by Fawn McNeill I created this for an art lesson a few years ago. I went back and added more detail and finished it up later. Now I have made it available in print and added the Bible verse. This is something I am doing more of, as the Creator's words are so powerful in my life. I struggled with adding words to my paintings because I was taught that it takes away from the art. I am not adding words to the original work, but I am finding ways to add Bible verses to the prints. I like making the placement and font size complimentary and not too loud. Some of my new paintings (in progress) are from dreams and visions that the Lord has put on my heart and there is a quiet space in the paintings that I will add the verses when I publish them. I'm excited to get back to this aspect of my work! ~ Original Acrylic on hardboard (sold). ~ Prints available: ~ 7 x 10 inches matted to 11 x 14 for easy framing ~ $45.00 for one print. "New Season" Started this painitng in March, from our trip to North Carolina. Haven't had a chance to finish it until this week. The lingering colors of fall mixed in with the new colors of spring were just amazing. I added the little cardinal to give it some life, but mostly I was interested in the brightly lit grasses against the shadows. I think I captured it very close to what I was after! (Watrercolors are a bit challenging for me when I try for realism. I tend to be slow and methodical because it is harder to fix mistakes with watercolor compared to acrylics.) ~ Original Art ~ Watercolor on acid-free watercolor paper ~ 7 x 10 inches ~ Matted to 11 x 14 inches for easy framing (see below) ~ $500.00 (includes shipping) ~ Email me for availability: [email protected] Click here to see more

"Spring Flowers" This was a lesson in contrasting colors and contrasts in values. Watercolors are not always controllable and can be quite expressive. The colors here exploded off the page. Beautiful, but this one actually started out backward. The frame was from my dear friend, Deborah Flowers, who passed away a few years ago. I loved it! So, I cut a piece of hardboard to fit it because it was not a standard size. I wanted to paint something that would go well in the frame. I do not enjoy this backward procedure, as I normally make frames to enhance and set off the art after the painting is complete. But I took the challenge because I so wanted to use Deb's ornate frame for one of my pieces. I played with several ideas that might flow with this frame and changed the background a few times. Another close friend of mine sent me some costume jewelry that reminded me of my grandmother. I used those gemstones in the center of the larger flowers and added beads to the smaller ones in the background. I usually can't get happy with paintings that I create for specific frames and they remain unfinished. But this one turned out amazing. I love this little piece. ~ Original Art ~ Mixed Media on Hardboard ~ 5 x 5 inches ~ Elaborate Custom Frame ~ Not Available Click here to see more Click on an image to see these related posts:
