Acrylic on blue mat board
6 1/4 x 9 1/4 inches

Covered the floor with a 6-foot plastic tablecloth, set down a big palette with large amounts of paints, a roll of paper towels, some hot soapy water in a foot washing tub, and old bath towels, and then I put several precut mats in different colors on the table near me.  What a delightful mess I made!

Some of the practice runs went straight in the trash.  But, as I figured out how to control my happy toes and not smear things so much, I started saving a few.   After this one dried, I added some globs of finger imprints to get the smaller dabs. Then I used a small brush to add fine lines and little dots.

I have a few more to finish up before I try again, but I couldn't wait to share this fun creative endeavor!

Not sure about a title yet, and I plan to create a reverse of this one to make it a set.  Will have to wait and see how that goes!  (Sets are usually created together at the same time.)
Enjoy!

Fawn McNeill creates handcrafted original works of nature and inspirational art.  Some of her subjects include angels, florals, seascapes, landscapes, and      animal portraits. Her paintings are mostly rendered in realistic impressionism, although she does enjoy creating knife paintings and playful, mixed-media pieces.
"I'm originally from Montana, but moved extensively while growing up. I've had great adventures in the Rockies, the Pacific Islands, and now Florida!  I began drawing and painting when I was 12. I started selling my work when I was 17. I began teaching art at 21, and 40 years later I still love it."
The artist owns and retains all copyrights (even if you purchase a painting).
